Deck of Cardio

The only thing you need for a good workout is a deck of cards. I built the deck.

What it is

An old gym trick you can actually run from your phone. Each suit is an exercise and each card is the rep count: face value for numbers, ten for face cards, eleven for aces. A full deck is 380 reps in about 35 minutes. A half deck is about 190 reps in 18.

You don't decide anything mid-workout. The deck does, and it doesn't negotiate.

How it works

Pick a focus: balanced, cardio, arms, legs or core. Then choose a full or half deck. You're dealt four exercises, one per suit, and you can swap any of them before you start. Jokers can be skipped, turned into a 60-second rest, or played as a "five of each" bonus.

Then the deck is shuffled and the clock starts on your first card. Tap to draw, step back if you miscounted, and watch each suit's count drain. Pause anytime, end early if you need to, and finish with your total time and reps per exercise.

No account, and it works offline once it's on your home screen. If your browser reloads mid-workout, you pick up on the same card with your time intact.
